How to Write a Resume

Posted by teacher on October 30, 2009

To get a Job, you need to have a resume also known as a Curriculum Vitae or a CV. The employer’s first impression will be derived not only by the content but by the appearance of your resume. Writing a content rich is not the key to having the CV read fro start to finish.
When someone reads the first paragraph of your resume, it should leave them with wanting knowing more about you. If you can write a flawless objective and a good resume, this should lead to a job interview which in turn which will lead to a job.
Many people make the mistake of writing an “all-purpose” resume to be handed out to all potential employers. Generally speaking, this practice can be used if you provide an accompanying cover letter. However, When you apply to a company that requires more specific skills and requirements, you should be prepared to customize your resume to the criteria the employer is looking for.
When writing down your experience for a particular job you have held, include the company’s name you worked for, the title of your position and your responsibilities. If you accomplished major projects successfully, then you should include them in in your work experience.
